Philip Green is a founding partner of SG&S.  He was born in Berlin, Germany.  He received his Bachelor of Arts Degree (cum laude) from the University of California at Santa Barbara in 1976, where he was also a member of Phi Beta Kappa, and his Juris Doctor Degree from the University of California at Los Angeles in 1979, when he was admitted to the State Bar of California.

Mr. Green is a civil litigation attorney specializing in most aspects of business and real estate litigation. Mr. Green has been lead counsel in over a hundred trials, arbitrations and appeals. For over 30 years, Mr. Green has represented a large number of residential builders and developers as well as subcontractors, architects, engineers, homeowners, and others. Mr. Green has also handled hundreds of real estate and business litigation disputes, including contract, partnership, corporate and limited liability company disputes, land use matters, landlord/tenant disputes, trust and estates' litigation, collection and banking matters, and insurance litigation.
